Accenture and Google Cloud unveiled the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group on September 8, 2026, a jointly-invested global unit built to push Gemini Enterprise from pilots into production-grade agentic AI deployments. The centerpiece of the launch is a dedicated 1,000-person forward deployed engineer (FDE) workforce, layered on top of Accenture's existing base of roughly 50,000 Google Cloud-certified professionals.
A structured answer to agentic AI
The new group sits inside the Accenture Google Business Group and combines Gemini Enterprise–certified Accenture staff, specialised Google Cloud engineering talent, and Accenture's industry consultants under one delivery vehicle. Accenture CEO Julie Sweet said the aim is to help clients "achieve outcomes faster" as they move from experimentation to enterprise-scale reinvention, while Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian framed deploying agentic AI as the "top priority for enterprises today."
Four priorities for the group
The Gemini Enterprise Business Group will focus on four areas: proprietary accelerators and implementation frameworks purpose-built for Gemini Enterprise, industry-specific solution templates to reduce time-to-value, dedicated capability centers to bridge experimentation and production, and driving day-to-day user adoption of Gemini-built capabilities inside client organisations. Both companies said the group builds on their earlier joint Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Program and Generative & Agentic AI Center of Excellence.
YouTube as the reference story
Accenture pointed to YouTube as an early proof point, saying a Gemini Enterprise agent deployed during NFL Sunday Ticket demand surges boosted customer sentiment by 11% and cut average handle time by 37%. Accenture was also named Google Cloud's 2026 Global Services Partner of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, and the tie-up lands as hyperscalers race to convert Gemini, Copilot, and Bedrock-family models into repeatable enterprise revenue against a backdrop of surging AI cloud demand highlighted by Cognition's $48B valuation for Devin and Oracle's record AI cloud bookings.
