Quantinuum and Fortune Global 500 ODM Quanta Computer announced a collaborative development agreement on August 13, 2026 to establish the industrial foundation required to scale quantum computing beyond today's research systems.
Combining a quantum leader with a manufacturing giant
The partnership pairs Quantinuum's trapped-ion quantum computing stack with Quanta's expertise in industrialising advanced computing systems at global scale. The two companies plan to co-develop the infrastructure, systems engineering and manufacturing capabilities required for future generations of quantum computers, with the explicit goal of supporting Quantinuum's roadmap toward commercially deployable, large-scale, fault-tolerant machines.
From lab bench to fab-scale
Quantinuum has spent 2026 racking up commercial milestones — including deploying its Helios system inside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, demonstrating a universal topological gate set on H2, and reporting its first quarterly earnings as a public company. The Quanta tie-up moves the story to the supply chain: what it will take to build, ship and service the systems in volume.
Why Quanta matters
Quanta already assembles servers, notebooks and AI systems at massive scale for many of the world's largest hyperscalers.
