Dreame Technology has used the IFA 2026 show floor in Berlin to unveil the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete, its first robot vacuum that combines internal steam pretreatment with a fresh-water roller mop. The debut on September 4, 2026 pushes Dreame's premium line toward what the company describes as heat-powered floor care and adds a 100 C dock wash cycle to keep the mop hygienic between runs.
Steam pretreatment at 180 C
Dreame says the Aqua20 produces steam at an internal core temperature of 180 C and applies it through four outlets as a pretreatment to loosen dried-on stains before hot-water mopping. The company cites third-party testing by SGS showing a 99.999% bacteria-removal rate for the combined process. The robot's AquaRoll system continuously feeds fresh water to a roller mop that spins at 300 rpm and presses down with 18 newtons of force, while a MopExtend mechanism can extend the roller outward by up to 8 cm to clean under cabinet edges.
40,000 Pa suction and ProLeap threshold climbing
Peak suction is rated at 40,000 Pa. The Aqua20 uses Dreame's HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0, combining a bristled brush for crevices with a softer TPU rubber brush intended for larger debris and carpet. Dreame also debuted an upgraded ProLeap system it claims can clear single-step obstacles up to 5 cm and two-step obstacles up to 10 cm - unusually aggressive figures for a robot vacuum. AutoSeal Guard covers the wet roller when the robot detects carpet, and a TripleUp system independently lifts the side brush, main brush and mop to keep wet and dry debris from mixing.
AstroVision navigation and a 100 C dock wash
Navigation combines Dreame's AstroVision camera stack, VersaLift and OmniSight 4.0. The company says the platform recognises more than 320 object types and can detect obstacles as small as 10 mm. After each run, the dock washes the roller mop with water heated to 100 C, waiting for the washboard to cool before the next cleaning cycle. The Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete will hit the UK market first for about £1,299 (US$1,755); U.S. pricing and availability were not disclosed at the show.
IFA 2026's robot vacuum arms race
The Aqua20 lands in an IFA 2026 crowded with new premium robot vacuums, from ECOVACS' 27,000 Pa DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone and Roborock's wheel-legged Saros Rover to the iRobot Roomba Duo two-robot concept and Dyson's Nurovi lineup. With steam, roller mopping and aggressive threshold climbing all in one chassis, Dreame is staking a claim to the technical top end of the category.
