ECOVACS Robotics has revealed the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone at IFA 2026 in Berlin, an evolution of the X12 platform that pushes suction to 27,000 Pa, adds a 40,000 Pa self-cleaning air pump inside the OMNI Station and folds in a smarter AGENT YIKO 3.0 voice assistant. The launch on September 4, 2026 targets the top of the wet-and-dry robot vacuum tier at a $999.99 introductory price.
Vacuuming upgrades built for carpet
ECOVACS says the X12S delivers 27,000 Pa of suction rated at 53 air watts, a 23% jump over the X12 without a noise increase. New suction-inlet guide wheels help maintain the seal between the robot and carpets or rugs, which historically weakens performance on plush surfaces. Fan and airflow tweaks improve dust removal at the same power draw, according to the company.
OMNI Station gets industrial-grade self-cleaning
The biggest changes are inside the dock. After each mop-washing cycle, a 40,000 Pa high-pressure air pump pressure-washes the OZMO Roller 3.0 mop and rinses debris out of the mop tray. A small propeller inside the robot spins at 6,000 rpm to agitate the dirty-water tank, while the air duct and dustbin get a hot-air dry to prevent odor. ECOVACS also swapped in upgraded membrane materials in the station's water tank and can heat that tank on a user-defined schedule.
PureCyclone dumps disposable dust bags
Like the X12, the X12S sticks with the PureCyclone bagless auto-empty system, transferring debris into a reusable dust container rather than a consumable bag. PowerBoost Charging Plus lets the robot top up its battery during the brief pit-stops between mop washes, extending runtime on larger cleaning jobs without a full recharge.
Navigation, edges and voice
The mopping stack carries over from the X12: OZMO Roller 3.0 continuously rinses a roller mop mid-cleaning, FocusJet pre-sprays water to loosen dried stains, and TruEdge 3.0 uses a 3D edge sensor to hug walls and baseboards. The roller lifts 15 mm and a Mop Roller Smart Cover keeps the wet roller off carpets. TruePass adaptive climbing handles thresholds, and AIVI 3D 4.0 camera-based obstacle avoidance is trained to spot cables, pet bowls and other common trip hazards. ECOVACS also refreshed its onboard voice assistant with AGENT YIKO 3.0, which is designed to distinguish one-time cleaning requests from long-term preferences it should remember.
The competitive picture
ECOVACS' IFA push lands in a week packed with premium robot-vacuum launches: Dyson's new three-tier Nurovi family, Roborock's Saros Rover European debut, MOVA's 22-product M∞VA Universe and iRobot's Roomba Duo concept. Where Dyson chose to introduce a vacuum-only Nurovi R1, ECOVACS is going the opposite way with a more automated dock and higher raw suction on a wet-dry flagship.
